How is a weighted grade calculated?
Each assignment category (homework, tests, final exam) has a weight — a percentage of your total grade. Multiply your score in each category by its weight, then sum the results. For example: 85% on homework (30% weight) + 78% on tests (50% weight) + 92% on the final (20% weight) = 82.9% overall.
My final is worth 30% — how much can I afford to slack off?

What if my professor drops the lowest grade?
