How to Calculate Percentages

What is X% of Y? Multiply Y by X and divide by 100. Example: 20% of 150 = 150 × 0.20 = 30.

X is what % of Y? Divide X by Y and multiply by 100. Example: 45 is what % of 200? = (45/200) × 100 = 22.5%.

Percentage change: ((New − Old) / Old) × 100. A positive result is an increase; negative is a decrease.
